Aeon Nexus

Band Overview

Progressive metalcore outfit Aeon Nexus melds futuristic djent grooves and raw metal aggression with ethereal pop sensibilities to create a sound that is impossible to define. Since their live debut in early 2024, Aeon Nexus have been making waves in the Brisbane metal scene and beyond. The successful release of their popular debut single Twin Hurricanes in May 2024 spurred a slew of tour shows across Queensland and interstate, supporting prominent Australian heavy acts such as Orpheus Omega and HammersTwin Hurricanes was also chosen as the theme song for Red Castle Entertainment’s inaugural wrestling extravaganza Slamageddon in July 2024.

Aeon Nexus’ fast-growing reputation for captivating yet brutal live experiences earned them a coveted local support slot in Brisbane for US metalcore pioneers Bleeding Through’s September 2024 Australian tour. The October 2024 release of their debut EP Positive Disintegration placed the quartet on the map of Australian heavy music as an exciting new talent to watch. In the week leading up to the EP release, Aeon Nexus were selected by Wall of Sound as that week’s feature artist for their “Aussie Heavyweights and Hitmakers” playlist, and within a fortnight, the band had amassed 25,000 views on their Sony Catchlight Film Festival award-nominated music video for single The Choice.

Following the April 2025 release of their ferocious follow-up single Black MassAeon Nexus look forward to a stellar second half of the year with performances booked across South-East Queensland and are gearing up for the release of their sophomore EP in early 2026.
