For over two decades, David Dean has been a driving force in the Australian music scene. What began as a passion for music in his youth evolved into a vibrant career spanning every corner of the industry. From live sound mixing and studio recording to hosting a radio show on Noosa Community Radio and writing for Tsunami Music Magazine, David’s dedication has always been grounded in fostering connection through music. In 2002, he launched Hostile Entertainment, initially as a management company. It quickly transformed into a full-scale booking agency and publicity powerhouse, championing both emerging Queensland talent, national and internationally renowned acts and now working with family entertainment like Bluey and Bingo as well as others.
Hostile Entertainment has left its mark, promoting legends like Slayer, Megadeth, and Dead Kennedys, alongside Australian icons like Parkway Drive, The Amity Affliction, and The Whitlams. But David’s vision goes beyond big names plus so many more.
He’s created a space for collaboration and innovation within the local music community. Now, with his wealth of experience and an unmatched network of industry leaders, David is actively developing his role as a Business & Accountability Coach for the music industry. By mentoring aspiring professionals, supporting his roster of bands, and helping national and international acts navigate the Australian touring landscape, he’s paving the way for a new generation of success stories while continuing to set the stage for unforgettable events and a thriving music culture.
