JC & the Tree are an indie music duo who have been living full-time from their original music for the past three years.
Their third album, Lost in the Wild, is a rich blend of folk, rock, indie and roots, with moments of lo-fi pop, country, prog-rock and cinematic textures. It leans into a bigger, full-band sound while retaining the duo’s signature warmth and storytelling.
Drawing influence from The Lumineers, Boy & Bear, City and Colour, and Of Monsters and Men, the album blends acoustic-driven arrangements with layered harmonies, violin-led melodies and a rich production style.
About the Album
At its core, Lost in the Wild is about stepping away from the chaos of modern life. The songs reflect on the pressures of a fast-paced, consumer-driven world and offer a simple but powerful alternative: reconnecting with nature, slowing down and finding meaning beyond the rat race.
The album was shaped by lived experience, written while travelling, performing and carving out a sustainable life through music alone. It is the duo’s first album to be 100% funded by their original music, with no grants, crowdfunding or other work.
