See the Stars of Tomorrow: Sunshine Coast’s Low-Cost Music Showcase

Would you be able to say “I was there” when Australia’s next up-and-coming artists were discovered?

Born from Live & Local – The Podcast, this family-friendly event will treat music lovers to an afternoon and evening showcasing the talents of 12 local musicians, food trucks, and an opportunity to meet a range of incredible artists.

To be held at Venue 114 on Saturday, September 14, Live & Local – Twelve 4 Twelve tickets are now on sale and include performances by 12 artists for just $12.

Dance and discover emerging local Sunshine Coast musicians looking to share their music at this low-cost Spring event.

Sunshine Coast Strong Community Councillor David Law said:

“This event is a wonderful opportunity for the community to support the local music industry. Come and celebrate vibrant local artists as they take to the stage at Venue 114 in this very special event.

Music has a way of bringing people together, and I urge you to buy tickets early and support these kinds of local music events that engage and connect our community.

At a time when major music events across Australia are suffering, Council recognises that affordable local events are important for our community.’’

All proceeds from Live & Local – Twelve 4 Twelve will benefit The Stensholm Foundation’s Lookout 07, a not-for-profit community organisation committed to providing support services and a safe haven for the young people of the Sunshine Coast.
Live & Local – Twelve 4 Twelve is being held in partnership with Music to Media, Hostile Entertainment, and Southern Cross Austereo.

Business Basics Grant Program
The Business Basics grants program provides support to businesses to increase core skills and adopt best practice. This includes professional business advice such as mentoring.
BRISBANE CITY COUNCIL LORD MAYOR’S CREATIVE FELLOWSHIPS
This Fellowship supports Brisbane-based artists, arts workers, cultural workers, and creative producers to take the next step in their careers through structured professional development. The Fellowship provides opportunities to learn directly from experienced industry professionals.
REGIONAL ARTS DEVELOPMENT FUND (RADF)
RADF is a grants program for artists located outside Brisbane. 59 local councils deliver the Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF), including Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Logan, Ipswich, Redland City, and many regional areas. Each Council has differing eligibility rules for it’s RADF offerings, you may have to consult your Council officer for advice on mentoring program eligibility. REGIONAL ARTS FUND

The Regional Arts Fund supports artists and communities in regional and remote areas. There is an address-based eligibility criteria for this funding opportunity. There are two grants on offer:

  • RAF Quick Response Grants: Support small arts or cultural projects that cannot be funded by other means because of their nature or timing and may fund mentoring.
  • RAF Project Grants: Provide major funding for high-quality arts projects benefiting regional or remote artists, arts workers, audiences, and communities. Mentoring may be integrated as an aspect of a larger project.
QUEENSLAND ARTS SHOWCASE PROGRAM (QASP)
The Queensland Arts Showcase Program (QASP) supports a thriving, inclusive arts sector by investing in bold new work, creative development, and community engagement across the state. Although QASP is primarily project-based, it may also incorporate a mentoring aspect.
