VERATIE Release Debut Concept Album “IN//HUMAN”
Southeast Queensland alt-rock / nu-metal band VERATIE release their debut 10-track concept album, “IN//HUMAN”, on 28 August 2026.
VERATIE (pronounced veh-ruh-tee) are an alt-rock / nu-metal band based in Southeast Queensland. Formed in 2021 by lead singer-songwriter Sarah and guitarist-beatmaker Connor, and since joined by Patrick on drums, VERATIE release their debut 10-track concept album, IN//HUMAN, on 28 August 2026 across all major platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, Apple iTunes, YouTube Music, Amazon Music and Tidal.
Five years in the making, IN//HUMAN has been at the heart of VERATIE since the band’s formation in 2021. The album brings together eight previously released singles — Ashes, Perfect Stranger, Sirens, Great Divide, The Door, Honey, Exit and Tranquillium — alongside two unreleased tracks, Spirit Sight and Lock Away.
IN//HUMAN explores the many facets of the human experience and how that experience is intertwined with technology and the divine. Across ten tracks, VERATIE examines identity, relationships, grief, technology, spirituality, conformity and the search for meaning. Written from deeply personal experiences, IN//HUMAN questions our place in an ever-evolving world. In our search for something greater, what remains uniquely human?
Five Years in the Making
Years of blood, sweat and tears have been poured into IN//HUMAN, with VERATIE independently funding and investing countless hours into creating the strongest realisation of their vision. To achieve this, VERATIE recorded, mixed and produced with James See at Airlock Studios in Brisbane and mastered with Steve Smart at Studio 301 in Sydney.
Sonically, IN//HUMAN captures the contrasting elements that have become VERATIE’s signature — haunting melodic vocals, impactful rap, down-tuned guitars, cinematic synths, industrial samples and relentless rhythm. VERATIE draws from influences such as Linkin Park, Evanescence, Poppy, Paramore, Muse and Spiritbox.
Bringing IN//HUMAN to the Screen
VERATIE collaborated with filmmakers Darren Martin of Zero Point Productions and Alex Nelson of Emerge Creative to bring their music to screen through the official videos for Ashes, Honey and Tranquillium.
Across their releases, VERATIE has amassed 35K+ Spotify streams, while the band’s three official music videos have attracted 30K+ YouTube views.
VERATIE have already supported names such as The Halo Effect (Europe), Beyond the Black (Europe), RedHook, Devilskin (New Zealand), Lagerstein, Krave and more.
IN//HUMAN East Coast Tour
To celebrate IN//HUMAN, VERATIE are taking the album to the stage with an East Coast tour throughout September and October 2026, including shows across Queensland and New South Wales.
