Sea N Sound Mooloolaba

The upcoming Sunshine Coast Sea N Sound Festival has announced a massive bill of local act additions for it’s inaugural event in Mooloolaba on Saturday June 11.

Nine acts have been added to the lineup in support of Aussie Roots superstars Pete Murray and Ash Grunwald including Sahara Beck, Carl Wockner Band, Band of Frequencies, Selahphonic, The Hi-Boys, Tyrone Noonan, Pop Cult, Buck Dean and the Green Lips and Brad Schultz.

The event, a snapshot of the unique coastal lifestyle of the area, will focus on live original music, local seafood and Australian craft beer to bring a truly affordable ‘Australian‘ event to the Sunshine Coast, bringing together all things that make Mooloolaba such an amazing place.

Local fresh seafood vendors and Australian craft breweries will be showcased on site, with the existing carpark area, positioned on the Mooloolah river and opposite the stunning Mooloolaba beach, being converted to hold 2000 people with the added construction of a large outdoor stage.

The Sea N Sound weekend will also be bolstered by a headline act on the Friday night, an official Festival after-party featuring bands and DJs, as well as a major vinyl record fair planned for the Sunday from 10.00am.

Festival organiser Terence Lunney says “We are extremely excited about the full line up release for Sea N Sound Festival and to be showcasing these outstanding Sunshine Coast artists performing live on stage in the thriving heart of Mooloolaba. The festival goers will be surrounded by not only the coastal-influenced tunes, but an awesome offering of over 30 different local & interstate craft beers & ciders along with the best local seafood the Sunshine Coast has to offer. This Music, Craft Beer & Seafood festival is moulded around an offering of a  “truly local experience” for all and we can’t wait to open the gates and let the Coast roll on in!”
Tickets can be pre-purchased through Moshtix.com.au for $40 or bought on the day for $45.  Gates at 12.00pm until 9.00pm, then the after-party will move inside the venue, being free to festival ticket holders or $10 on the door.
