Maryborough-based hard rock trio RUINATION are set to release their hauntingly beautiful new single, “Fading Grey,”on Friday, 19th September 2025 through Golden Robot Records. Known for their evocative blend of aggression and melody, this new track captures the emotional nuance fans have come to expect—and turns the volume up even higher.
Following a string of impactful singles, Fading Grey marks the third release from RUINATION’s upcoming debut album Everything Eventually, due out on October 10, 2025. With their roots in alt-hard rock, RUINATION weave grunge grit with deeply personal lyricism to offer listeners more than just music—it’s a cathartic experience.

At its heart, Fading Grey is a powerful ballad that walks the tightrope between beauty and brutality. The song opens with a soft and melancholic verse, before erupting into an explosive chorus, a scorching mid-section, and an unforgettable guitar solo. It’s both cinematic and raw, contrasting light with dark—just like the grey area it references.
Frontman Luke Karolak (guitar/vocals) explains:
“Fading Grey is about dealing with loss and the process of coming to terms with it. It’s about letting go and embracing the present moment. The line ‘I’ll put this heart in a noose’ came to me in the shower—I rushed to the guitar, dripping wet, and the melody followed. The title speaks to the space between black and white—that grey zone we all pass through—but this one is fading fast.”

Fading Grey was recorded, mixed, and mastered at King Street Studios in Brisbane with producer/engineer Mick Bristow. It’s the final taste before RUINATION’s much-anticipated debut full-length album Everything Eventually, which drops October 10, 2025.
