Ruination Release Debut Album Everything Eventually
New Single & Music Video “Downward” Out Now
Maryborough alt-rock trio Ruination have officially released their debut full-length album, Everything Eventually, via Golden Robot Records. Available now across all major streaming platforms and in CD format, the release marks a bold new chapter for the band, pairing introspective lyricism with a heavy yet melodic edge.
Accompanying the album is the launch of lead single “Downward”, alongside its official music video, which premiered on HEAVY Mag. A standout track both musically and thematically, “Downward” explores the emotional process of moving forward after loss, pairing haunting melodies with driving guitars and dynamic rhythm.
“Downward is about dealing with loss, but also adopting a ‘what’s done is done’ mentality. It’s about living in the present and moving forward from the fork in the road,” says frontman Luke Karolak.
About the Album
Everything Eventually follows Ruination’s 2022 EP Whispers, adding five brand new tracks to complete a powerful eleven-track journey. Written and recorded at King Street Studios with producer Mick Bristow, the album showcases a natural evolution in songwriting, performance, and production.
Karolak notes:
“This record is the sum of three passionate musicians pushing their boundaries. It reflects our growth, and we believe it’s the strongest material we’ve released to date.”
The album covers themes of heartbreak, soul-searching, redemption, and emotional transformation. It is a cohesive, deliberate body of work intended not just to be heard — but felt.

The trio blend grunge, hard rock, and alternative influences, drawing inspiration from artists like Metallica, Silverchair, Tool, HUM, and The Smashing Pumpkins. Their sound is defined by heavy riffs, textured soundscapes, and emotionally resonant lyrics, reflecting on personal experience and the human condition.
They have shared the stage with Killing Heidi, Hammers, Pistonfist, Krave, and Mezmik, and continue to build a solid following across the east coast of Australia.
