Chardonnay Sippers and The Spirits – Sunday Arvo Blues a Double Header

Woombye Pub Sunday Arvo Blues presents a special double header on Sunday August 16 from 2 till 5 PM, featuring Chardonnay Sippers and The Spirits. This one brings together two bands with a real place in Sunshine Coast blues history, with The Spirits starting the Sunshine Coast Blues Club at the Woombye Pub back in 1988 and many of the Chardonnay Sippers members later helping carry the local Blues Club forward for more than 14 years.
Chardonnay Sippers will open the afternoon with jazz, Latin, calypso and blues, featuring the outstanding Mark Finter on guitar and the legendary Al Hensley on keys, followed by The Spirits with their long running Sunshine Coast blues sound. Two bands, plenty of shared history and a great afternoon of local live music. Tickets at the door.
